Special Agent Dana Scully celebrates a birthday this month!  On February 23, Scully turns 49.  Hard to believe!
To honor this birthday, fans will gather in the X-Files Universe chatroom to watch episodes from season 4, when Gillian Anderson won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Scully.

For our viewing pleasure, we’ll watch Scully and Mulder in
1. Leonard Betts
2. Memento Mori
3. Small Potatoes

The chatroom is located at HERE

October 13th, Chris Carter’s Birthday, has become a national holiday of sorts.  Fans of The X-Files celebrate 10/13 with X-Files Status Day on Facebook and across the world are ReWatch Parties.

Of course, the numbers 1013 are often linked with The X-Files. This is the day that Fox Mulder is noted as having a birthday.  Carter’s production company is known as Ten Thirteen Productions.  In X-Files episode “Apocrypha” there is a room in a silo numbered 1013, where Krycek is held and alien ship is hidden.

  • The X-Files: Fight the Future was released to video on October 13, 1999.
  • 10 minutes, 13 seconds is the amount of time into the last track of The X-Files: The Album where a hidden track begins.
  • DF101364 is the file number of an X-Files investigating the disappearance of  Colonel Budahas (Deep Throat).
  • In “End Game” an email from Mulder reads, “To: Dana Scully, 001013″
  • In “Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man,” there is a “United Nations Security Council Resolution 1013,” which is an agreement that any nation who obtains an alien lifeform must immediately eradicate it.
  • 10:13 am appeared as the time stamp in several novels.  Specifically on chapter two of Ground Zero and on chapter twenty-two of Antibodies, both written by Kevin J. Anderson.
  • On October 13, 1973, a group of government agents made contact with a group of Greys.  CSM subsequently gave his wife Cassandra to the aliens in return for an alien fetus (“One Son”).
  • On October 13, 1995, the episode  “Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose” was first aired.

What are you doing to participate?

One of the best fan-made videos to come along in a while, “XF3 – Don’t Give Up” merges a variety of clips to treat the viewer with a riveting view of what X-Files 3 could be.

The video brings together favorite characters of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully with their son William, Marita Covarrubias, John Doggett, Monica Reyes, and Walter Skinner.

FOX – give us X-Files 3! Whether in theater format or mini-series, we demand a conclusion to the Colonization mythology!

Our beloved Gillian Anderson, well known as Agent Dana Scully on The -Files, celebrates a birthday today!

Anderson seems to have a full schedule, and hopefully today is one of well-deserved rest and time spent with friends and family.

Johnny English Reborn will hit theaters soon, Shadow Dancer will premiere sometime in 2012.  Rumor is that she will appear in The Curse of the Buxom Strumpet and as Miss Havisham in a new Great Expectations remake.  Of course, we all hope she will soon be starring in X-Files 3!

TV Squad released their list of “TV’s Greatest Women” this week and Dana Scully ranks at #13.  X-Files‘ Dana Scully was admirably portrayed by Emmy winner Gillian Anderson.  The character of Mary Richards, who turned the world on with her smile, was number one.

The article reads, “A woman of science who was recruited by the FBI when she was in med school, Scully wouldn’t buy into partner Mulder’s beliefs unless she could prove them. But her affection for and trust in him, and his season 7 abduction, led the brainy beauty to see she could mesh their two points of view.”

The top 15 is Mary Richards (Mary Tyler Moore Show), Laura Roslin (Battlestar Galactica), Lucy Ricardo (I Love Lucy), Peggy Olson (Mad Men), Elaine Benes (Seinfeld), Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Carmela Soprano (The Sopranos), Veronica Mars (Veronica Mars), Claire Huxtable (The Cosby Show), Edith Bunker (All in the Family), Roseanne Conner (Roseanne), Murphy Brown (Murphy Brown), Dana Scully (XFiles), Liz Lemon (30 Rock), and CJ Cregg (The West Wing).

Sunday night, during the weekly episode ReWatch party in the chatroom, members developed a ranking of the 15 X-Files actors according to total sexiness.  This, of course, is a fun response to our affiliate XFilesNews.com, who published an article on the total sexiness of the actresses in X-Files.  Therefore, in the interest of equal opportunity for the male beauty in the series, we undertook the task of preparing the list.

After much deliberation, and with no scientific method involved (but several baudy remarks), here is the list of the Sexiest actors of The X-Files.

15. Fredric Lehne (Young Arthur Dales: The Unnatural – season 6).  The ladies of the chatroom nominated Lehne for his rugged good looks and an ability to show his tender side. He looks good in a uniform too.  Shallow?  Yes, we are.  But we are right!

.

.

14.  Seth Green (Emil: Deep Throat - season 1).  Beneath the horrible hair and flannel overshirt he wore during his appearance on X-Files lurked a cutie.  Seriously, Seth Green is CUTE!  Don’t you just want to hug the guy?  Or maybe you want more?

.

.

  • 13.  Brendan Beiser (Agent Pendrell).   Agent Pendrell has a serious case of the hots for Agent Scully.  Alas, he only gets lucky in fanfiction.  All that charm and unrequited love in the tv series gets him a spot here on the list.

12.  Cary Elwes (FBI Assistant Director Brad Follmer – Season 9).  Ok, confess.  How many times did you look at AD Follmer and think of naughty jokes about “swordplay” and wish he would say, “As you wish” to Agent Reyes?  Nothing like a good Princess Bride fantasy!

.

.

11. Adam Baldwin (Knowle Rohrer; Department of Defense).  Supersoldier.  Super human.  Super what else?  Makes a girl wonder!

.

.

.
10.  Shia LaBeouf (Ritchie Lupone: The Goldberg Variation - Season 7).  Making it in at the number 10 spot is the Transformers action hero.  He was a little kid on The X-Files, but today he is starring with some of the hottest stars in Hollywood.

.

.

9. John Hawkes (Phillip Padgett: Milagro - Season 6).  All that intensity, all that imagination, that way Padgett has with words.  Add smoldering dark gazes and we have our next entry on the sexiest men list.

.

.
.

8. Jesse L. Martin (Josh Exley: The Unnatural - Season 6).  This is for those of us who have actually watched the MIDDLE of The Unnatural episode.  Martin’s Exley made us cry, and made us want more.  (What? We meant more singing! What did you think we meant?)

.

.

7. Mitch Pileggi (Assistant Director Walter Skinner).  All it took was one scene from “Avatar” to hook the viewers.  You know the one we mean. The one where we got to see Mr. Hardbody Marine.

.

.

.

Luke Wilson (Sheriff Hartwell: Bad Blood - Season 5).  To quote Scully, “Hooboy.”  We suggest you forget Edward Cullen.  THIS is the sexy vampire!

.

.

.

5.  Rodney Rowland (Ed Jerse: Never Again – Season 4).  Rowland makes the top five by appearing in some of the most sensual moments in X-Files.  Scully experienced real pleasure with Ed Jerse, by getting a tattoo.  And it was only a tattoo, thanks to a script rewrite.

.
.

4.  Ryan Reynolds (Jay DeBoom: Syzygy – Season 3).  Milk. It does the body good.  Little Ryan turned into quite a man.

.

.
.
.

3.  Nicholas Lea (Alex Krycek). Remember that kiss between Krycek and Marita?  Yeah, we do too. That was easily one of the hottest scenes on the show.

.

.

.

2.  Robert Patrick (Agent John Doggett).  Doggett has the eyes, the toughness, the brawn – but he also has honor, integrity, dependability, and hidden depths.  John Doggett is definitely hot.

.

.

1.  David Duchovny (Agent Fox Mulder).  No big surprise here – Mulder takes the number one spot among the women of the chatroom.  Intense, smart, witty, sexy…what’s not to love?  Then to top it all off, he has a way with words.  Who wouldn’t be won over by, “Even when the world was falling apart, you were my constant. My touchstone.” Scully was, and we were too.

Gillian Anderson

Gillian Anderson is set to play a Victorian prostitute in a new BBC2 drama. Shooting will begin later in August.

She will portray Sugar, a “working girl” who manages to escape life in a brothel through the help of a wealthy man (played by Richard E. Grant). The four part drama will be named The Crimson Petal and the White, and will air early next year.

Anderson will also be seen in the British drama Any Human Heart with co-star Kim Cattrall. It is based on the book by William Boyd, about a fictional author. Anderson will play the Duchess of Windsor. Gillian Anderson is best known for her role as Dana Scully in The X-Files.
