Sunday night, during the weekly episode ReWatch party in the chatroom, members developed a ranking of the 15 X-Files actors according to total sexiness.  This, of course, is a fun response to our affiliate XFilesNews.com, who published an article on the total sexiness of the actresses in X-Files.  Therefore, in the interest of equal opportunity for the male beauty in the series, we undertook the task of preparing the list.

After much deliberation, and with no scientific method involved (but several baudy remarks), here is the list of the Sexiest actors of The X-Files.

15. Fredric Lehne (Young Arthur Dales: The Unnatural – season 6).  The ladies of the chatroom nominated Lehne for his rugged good looks and an ability to show his tender side. He looks good in a uniform too.  Shallow?  Yes, we are.  But we are right!

.

.

14.  Seth Green (Emil: Deep Throat - season 1).  Beneath the horrible hair and flannel overshirt he wore during his appearance on X-Files lurked a cutie.  Seriously, Seth Green is CUTE!  Don’t you just want to hug the guy?  Or maybe you want more?

.

.

  • 13.  Brendan Beiser (Agent Pendrell).   Agent Pendrell has a serious case of the hots for Agent Scully.  Alas, he only gets lucky in fanfiction.  All that charm and unrequited love in the tv series gets him a spot here on the list.

12.  Cary Elwes (FBI Assistant Director Brad Follmer – Season 9).  Ok, confess.  How many times did you look at AD Follmer and think of naughty jokes about “swordplay” and wish he would say, “As you wish” to Agent Reyes?  Nothing like a good Princess Bride fantasy!

.

.

11. Adam Baldwin (Knowle Rohrer; Department of Defense).  Supersoldier.  Super human.  Super what else?  Makes a girl wonder!

.

.

.
10.  Shia LaBeouf (Ritchie Lupone: The Goldberg Variation - Season 7).  Making it in at the number 10 spot is the Transformers action hero.  He was a little kid on The X-Files, but today he is starring with some of the hottest stars in Hollywood.

.

.

9. John Hawkes (Phillip Padgett: Milagro - Season 6).  All that intensity, all that imagination, that way Padgett has with words.  Add smoldering dark gazes and we have our next entry on the sexiest men list.

.

.
.

8. Jesse L. Martin (Josh Exley: The Unnatural - Season 6).  This is for those of us who have actually watched the MIDDLE of The Unnatural episode.  Martin’s Exley made us cry, and made us want more.  (What? We meant more singing! What did you think we meant?)

.

.

7. Mitch Pileggi (Assistant Director Walter Skinner).  All it took was one scene from “Avatar” to hook the viewers.  You know the one we mean. The one where we got to see Mr. Hardbody Marine.

.

.

.

Luke Wilson (Sheriff Hartwell: Bad Blood - Season 5).  To quote Scully, “Hooboy.”  We suggest you forget Edward Cullen.  THIS is the sexy vampire!

.

.

.

5.  Rodney Rowland (Ed Jerse: Never Again – Season 4).  Rowland makes the top five by appearing in some of the most sensual moments in X-Files.  Scully experienced real pleasure with Ed Jerse, by getting a tattoo.  And it was only a tattoo, thanks to a script rewrite.

.
.

4.  Ryan Reynolds (Jay DeBoom: Syzygy – Season 3).  Milk. It does the body good.  Little Ryan turned into quite a man.

.

.
.
.

3.  Nicholas Lea (Alex Krycek). Remember that kiss between Krycek and Marita?  Yeah, we do too. That was easily one of the hottest scenes on the show.

.

.

.

2.  Robert Patrick (Agent John Doggett).  Doggett has the eyes, the toughness, the brawn – but he also has honor, integrity, dependability, and hidden depths.  John Doggett is definitely hot.

.

.

1.  David Duchovny (Agent Fox Mulder).  No big surprise here – Mulder takes the number one spot among the women of the chatroom.  Intense, smart, witty, sexy…what’s not to love?  Then to top it all off, he has a way with words.  Who wouldn’t be won over by, “Even when the world was falling apart, you were my constant. My touchstone.” Scully was, and we were too.

Annabeth Gish (Monica Reyes, The X-Files ) stars alongside WWE’s Paul “Triple H” Levesque in “The Chaperone.”  The movie will appear in theaters for a short time beginning February 18, and then go to video March 8. Levesque is a father determined to go straight after leaving prison. Gish portrays his ex-wife Lynne. On a sidenote, in this video trailer, Gish looks as young as ever (which is often the same thing said about Gillian Anderson. Maybe there was something magical about starring in X-Files?).

While this is dubbed as a family comedy, it is rated pg-13 for language, violence, and rude humor.

William B. Davis, the iconic actor who portrayed Cigarette Smoking Man on The X-Files, has announced a new book: ”Where There’s Smoke…Musings of the Cigarette Smoking Man.”  The release date set by ECW Press is for Fall 2011.

In an article appearing in The Province, Davis said, “The X-Files was quite a ride, totally unexpected. I auditioned for the part of a senior FBI agent who had three lines. The part I got had no lines but I thought, it’s a gig. Who knew that it would grow into what it became?”

In addition to the book, you can see Davis in the movie Tall Man starring Jessica Biel, where is appearing as Sheriff Chestnut.  This week, fans can attend a play called “Waste,” which opens January 21 in Vancouver.  Davis is directing the play.

Robert Patrick of X-Files will star in a SyFy and THQ original movie titled Red Faction: Origins.   Also starring is Stargate Universe’s Brian J. Smith, Battlestar Galactica’s Kate Vernon, Torchwood’s Gareth David-Lloyd and Danielle Nicolet, Tamzin Merchant of The Tudors, and Dexter’s Devon Graye.

According to the press release,

The movie is based on the highly successful Red Faction(R) video game franchise.  Peabody-Award winner Michael Nankin (Caprica, Battlestar Galactica, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) will direct the two-hour, live action movie.  Part of a first-of-its-kind transmedia deal, Red Faction: Origins will be produced by Universal Cable Productions (UCP) and UFO Films (Lake Placid 2 & 3). Production will begin in Bulgaria this week with its Syfy premiere scheduled for May 2011.

Red Faction: Origins follows the children of rebel hero Alec Mason, set during a period between the critically acclaimed Red Faction Guerrilla(TM) video game and the recently announced, highly anticipated Red Faction Armageddon(TM) video game, also scheduled for release in May 2011.

Twenty-five years have passed since Alec Mason (Robert Patrick) led the Martian Colonies to freedom …and 12 years since vengeful enemies killed his wife, kidnapped his daughter Lyra (Tamzin Merchant), and left a broken hero in their wake.

Jake Mason (Brian J. Smith), Alecs last surviving son and an officer in the Red Faction Militia, has his world turned inside out when he discovers that now, 12 years after her kidnapping, his sister is still alive. As a powerful new enemy swarms across the planet, Jake goes out to find her, only to learn that his lost sister is one of them…a cold-blooded soldier sworn to destroy the Red Faction.

Jake must now battle the relentless regime and somehow reunite a family torn apart by war.

The Red Faction: Origins screenplay was written by notable writer and producer Andrew Kreisberg (Warehouse 13, Fringe, Eli Stone), based on a story developed by Paul DeMeo (The Rocketeer, The Flash, Viper), THQ Director, Fiction Development.

Universal Cable Productions creates quality content across multiple media platforms for USA, Syfy and other networks. A leader in innovative and critically acclaimed programming, UCP is the studio behind USA’s Royal Pains, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Psych, In Plain Sight, Covert Affairs and Fairly Legal, as well as Syfy’s Eureka, Warehouse 13 and Alphas . The studio also produced the long-running series Monk and Battlestar Galactica, as well as the series Caprica. UCP is a division of NBC Universal.

David Duchovny’s been a busy guy, with guest appearances on talk shows and a new movie announcement (alas, not X-Files 3).  On George Lopez Duchovny shared an embarrassing ski story and talked about the next season of Californication.  He also appeared on ESPN Radio, Tavis Smiley and Craig Ferguson.  He is slated to appear on Regis & Kelly on the 17th and Jimmy Fallon on the 21st, .

The big appearance that many X-Files fans were waiting for was on FOX All-Access, but no  information about X-Files 3 was forthcoming except that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are both willing to do another movie.

Fans learned that Duchovny will appear in what surely must be the oddest role for the man ( except maybe for his role in Twin Peaks as a cross-dresser).  Duchovny will appear in Goats as a pot-smoking goatherder who acts as a mentor to a 15-year-old teenage boy.  Call me crazy, but this character doesn’t necessarily seem like “mentor material.”  Doesn’t matter though, because we will watch David Duchovny in anything!

The British got Gillian Anderson, now they are getting Frank Spotnitz.  Spotnitz is writing an eight episode series titled Morton.  The spy drama is about “Sam,” who is being hunted ”by an enemy more ruthless and determined than any she’s ever known.”  Elements of X-Files seem to make their way into Spotnitz’s drama, since “Sam” is part of an organization called Mobius so she can begin to hunt the hunter.  No surprise to X-Files fans, but “Sam” will learn that she can TRUST NO ONE!
