I found interesting the who's sitting where in the theater pics, I always wondered how that was organized and how much time it took them to decide where to seat each celebrity!

Hi annie - I'm not sure GA's in this photo or one of the others in FB. It's really hard to see (plus I use the iPhone), and I used someone's "comments" to identify who she was placed behind. They indicated it was an "old headshot" - she may be wearing "something purple." This doesn't sound like a photo of a photo you'll want for your collection...

Keep in mind, this is the "planned" seating. These can change the day of the show and prior to the presentation I'm sure they'll film the presenters in the audience. By using these photo place cards, the camera crew knows WHERE to look for each actor. Sort of like a "seating blueprint."

Sorry! But - in 4 days we'll see GA in a NEW dress!

It's not old, it's from 2008, around the time when IWTB came out. It's not hideous or anything.
I read yesterday they always use this photo. Personally I love it but I think they could use a newer one.

We learn that Miss Piggy (!) is hosting the Red Carpet and that Meryl Street has now received 14 BAFTA noms - no small feat. We also learn that London's just been whalloped by a snow storm. Gee, maybe they should move the awards ceremony to Hollywood where it's never below 60 F this time of year. Miss Piggy is likely to have goose-flesh... (I hope this Host business is just quirky British Humour... unless Joan Rivers (whom the Brits love) was unavailable.)

What we don't learn or read about is tonight's pre-BAFTA dinner hosted by William Vintage & Gillian Anderson... Two other dinners are mentioned. Not sure why.

So glad this dress is shot thru with gold... When the day's events calm down I'll post a side by side with one of the Globes actors wearing "nude" - on the carpet they looked nude, bland - too little contrast.

Bravo to WBB for selecting a dress with perfect contrast not just with GA's ivory skin tone, but also the backdrop of the carpet.

Again, some comments how she looks too thin. Maybe she should put on a few pounds but still, I don't think she looks too thin.

You know how the moon/sun looks enormous at the horizon compared to when it rises? If GA's dress didn't have such a full skirt there might be less comments. Also - few actresses have such toned shoulders and upper arms. That's what they're reacting to...

I don't want to look like I'm making too big of the deal about this but I 've been this thin my entire life and the same height as GA and trust me that it gets sooo very annoying listening to the comments like: "OMG, you're so thin. Honey you should really eat something", etc. The thing is I've never had problems with eating, I love to eat. But no matter how much I eat, I just can't gain weight. Maybe like 4,5 but that had happen a few times and then I lost those few pounds right away.
Sorry for getting OT, just wanted to vent out.

Hey - venting's a good thing! It's got to get irritating when each time you see someone they have to comment on your weight. I'd either start wearing really loose clothes or tell them to STFU.... maybe both! Or maybe, the next time someone says something, confront them bluntly and quietly and ask "Why are you concerned about my weight? Do you know how rude and ignorant that makes you sound?" Their mouth may fall open, but it's likely you'll get less comments from that party down the road.

Take heart, sometimes closer to a woman's mid 40's the female metabolism resets and calories that used to leap out of the body start to hang on for dear life. A mixed blessing for someone always being told to "eat!"

With GA - I have to think she's trained herself to "tune out" certain topics and just respond with some canned, polite response to keep the conversation or photog line moving.

She sounds like she's freezing. Also after 2 major parties in 2 days (1 where she hosted) she's probably both hoarse and tired!

If fur weren't so politically INCORRECT all these actresses would gladly drape fur wraps over their shoulders. But their stylists & designers would shoot them for hiding their couture with anything ... The only solution is to move the winter awards ceremony to a warmer, possibly exotic resort.

Agent Skulder, believe me, I had told people to STFU and of course I had been called rude or something like that. Yeah, and telling people how thin you look is not rude. However I never thought about wearing loose clothes just to make people to shut up.It's them who have a problem, not me. I'm thin, always have been but I'm healthy. Even my doctor said so.

Yes, Gillian is tired, can't blame her. She has three kids, two of them are 5 and 3 and they demand her attention, plus all these events.And not to mention she lost her beloved brother in September, people seem to forgot that. I would say she looks fantastic. One more event on Tuesday and then she can take a break. And the good thing is she can wear a coat on Tuesday for Buckingham palace.
And another thing. I wouldn't laugh or even smile that much if I had "problems".

I read they cut Gillian out from the live broadcast and that it's pretty standard with the category she was presenting, for Animated film. And apparently there’s only about 3-4 shots of her in the audience as well. Those f*****g bastards!! Let's hope it will be on-line somewhere.

Well that's one way for the BAFTA program to stay on time - cut out entire segments! If there's a spot to comment on the BAFTA site, now might be the time to do so, if only to prompt them to post the unbroadcast segments somewhere.

GA is still leading but much of Europe may have ended their day by now. It'll be interesting to see the results 24 hours from now...
