Kathy Griffin was in "Pulp Fiction"?? I don't remember her in that at all! Granted, I wouldn't have known who she was by then, and I haven't seen the film for donkey years.

Alan Rickman was in the latest "Alice in Wonderland" feature film with Johnny Depp, who was in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" with Juliette Lewis, who was in "Kalifornia" with David Duchovny, who, of course, plays Special Agent Fox Mulder on, "The X Files."

Alternatively, since Alan only provided the voice of the caterpillar in, "Alice in Wonderland":

Alan Rickman was in "Dogma" with Ben Affleck, who was in "Forces of Nature" with Sandra Bullock, who was in "Gunshy" with Mitch Pileggi, who, of course, plays Assistant Director Walter Skinner on, "The X Files."

Next: Milica Govich
"Those characters are forever searching...Even if we’re not watching them, they’re out there, in some dimension. Mulder and Scully are still doing their thing, ‘cause that’s their nature."

I didn't know that about Ms. Griffin either, and she doesn't even show up on the first page of IMDB. But when one clicks on the "full cast and crew", we find that she played the "Hit-and-run Witness".

Obviously I "'cheat" and use IMDB. ;)

IT'S NOT A CHEAT! :sun

Hear ye, hear ye, without IMDb (Internet Movie Database - Database is abbreviated "Db") - this game sits until mushrooms sprout spontaneously. And as a bonus - doing the research sometimes informs or reminds us who starred where, and suggests new movies for members to explore.

All right, let's see. Milica Govich was in "Super Sucker" with Jeff Daniels, who was in "State of Play" with Rachel McAdams, who was in "Wedding Crashers" with Owen Wilson, who was in "The Royal Tenenbaums" with his brother Luke, who was Sheriff Lucias Harwell on TXF!

[Owen was also in "Zoolander" with David Duchovny]

How about Robert DeNiro?

Robert DeNiro was brilliant in "Cape Fear," the 1991 remake, with Juliette Lewis, who was in "Kalifornia" with David Duchovny, who plays Special Agent Fox Mulder on, "The X Files."

Next: Jennifer Saunders, who I can't wait to see tomorrow in the 20th anniversary special of "Absolutely Fabulous," one of the best British comedies ever. I think they've made a mini-series to celebrate the anniversary, to be shown over the next few Sundays. :woo:

Miranda Richardson played Queen Elizabeth I in the brilliant and hilarious, "Blackadder," either "Blackadder II" or "Blackadder III," with Rowan Atkinson, who was just in "Johnny English Reborn" with Gillian Anderson, who, of course, plays the amazing Special Agent Dana Scully, MD on
"The X Files"! :sun

Next: Paulette Goddard, but let me know if this one is too difficult. However, I bet that Agent Skulder will be able to link this actress to "The X Files" in six degrees or fewer. ;)

Maybe you could at least try this actress before I post another one. Also, even when we have lots of players, this game has never been very popular, and so thus tends to be slow-moving, even when people are playing the other XFU games.

Paulette Goddard was in "The Snoop Sisters" with Art Carney, who was in "The Last Action Hero" with Tom Noonan, who played creepy John Lee Roche on "The X-Files"!

Sticking with the "long ago" theme, how about Marilyn Monroe (as an actress)? I checked myself and found one connection only two degrees away for the starlet!

Well done, Truth!

Glenn Close was in, "102 Dalmations," the live action film, with the delicious Ioan Gruffudd, who was in the hilarious, "The TV Set" with David Duchovny, who plays Special Agent Fox Mulder on, "The X Files." Ioan was also in, "The Fantastic Four" (2005) with Laurie Holden, who plays Marita Covarrubias on, "The X Files."

Next: Parker Posey

You know what I've started doing for this game? I think of a random first name or surname and see which actor/actress comes up on imdb.com with that name! I don't even know who
Parker Posey is myself! She looks cute in her imdb.com picture, though. LOL :)

Blythe Danner was in The X-Files: Fight the Future. :)

To make this game even harder, we should make it so that you can't connect to any main character (Mulder, Scully, Doggett, Reyes, or Skinner). In some cases that would make things extremely dificult!

How about Jon Cryer?

I agree with Agent Skulder. Let's just stick to the original idea of this game: connect the actor or actress to any actor or actress on, "The X Files." That was my intention when I originally posted this game on XFU eons ago. Of course, Truth, you are welcome to connect any actor/actress to an obscure guest star on "The X Files," if you choose to do so! :)

Oh, I wasn't meaning to do that all the time. I meant only as the occasional variant.

It would open up things for some big-name actors and/or actresses (such as Angelina Jolie or Demi Moore) that played as co-stars with the main cast.
