What Reminded You of XFiles Today?

I was standing in the checkout line at WalMart and my 12 year old looked at my arm, and said, "What's that?"

It was my small pox vaccination scar. Guess what was immediately reminded of, lol.

OH! I just thought of something that makes me think of XF constantly...
It's my watch!
Sometimes, I see myself in photos and I see the glimmer of my watch. That just takes me back to Triangle when Scully is pacing around the hallways, trying to figure out what to do, and at some point... she throws her hands up in the air... and I think to myself... "Hey... that looks like my watch!"

Last Saturday my mom and I went hiking and for about 15 minutes we took a wrong trail, meaning we were a bit lost, so I of course was reminded of Detour. Especially when my mom joked about making a detour, instead of our intended trail which I admit was half my fault but half her's as well lol. As you can tell we made it out okay haha.

The other day I was watching Lady GaGa's video Telephone (I know, lol) and there's a scene where the cops are looking for her, and the time on the news cast is 11:21.

Today, as I am new to this site, I was browsing the "Introduce Yourself" Forum. After posting my own intro, I noticed the number of total posts at the bottom of the page was 1121!
I screencapped it and saved it...if you want to see it here is the link to the image:

I have a lot of people I call that reminds me of The X-Files. Again, today an woman name Diana Skinner called in. Now that would have been an interesting twist if Evil fowley and skinner got together, lol.

I was at yoga today and at the end of class while we're lying there decompressing they always ring this thing that sounds like a gong. I never knew what it was until today when the instructor called it a "singing bowl". Apparently they strike the top of it and then run something around the edge to make the sound come out in waves. I couldn't help thinking about the Lazarus Bowl in Hollywood AD and I started giggling.

I was driving at around 11:30 tonight and so the highway was pretty clear, then Walking in Memphis came on the radio and I blasted it! This made my night.

I was working as a temporary receptionist today, and a middle-aged man came up to the desk. He asked to see one of the secretaries. I asked him what his name was so I could buzz her and tell her he was there, and with a cheeky little smile he said, "Bambi."

So, in customary Scully deadpan fashion (complete with eyebrow, it was beautiful), I said, "You're sure you want me to call and tell her Bambi's here to see her? At this point, he frowned at me in confusion and said, "Yes, please..."

And then it dawned on me. The man's name was actually Bambi! I wish there'd been a camera there to record the lightening-speed gamut of emotions that must have run across my face. Darn it, I'd been so proud of the deadpan too. But, I'll attempt an emoticonical facsimilie of what I did:

Finally, I regrouped, and gave him a lovely smile, trying to convince him that the previous 30 seconds had NOT just happened--trust me, I wish we'd lost 9 minutes!--and decided to go and find the secretary in question myself so I wouldn't have to sit there with him, waiting for her to come up to the front. En route to her desk like a dog with my tail tucked between my legs, I couldn't help but think: "His name is BAMBI?" and I added yet another involuntary facial expression to my 2-minute repertoire: I had to bite my tongue to contain myself and I still got funny looks.

P.S. The secretary found absolutely nothing out of place with her guest OR his name. Must be an X-File.

Today I found out that my sister's friend from college has cats named Scully, Mulder, and Sammy. I asked her why she named the last cat Sammy, and she said, "It's short for Samantha, she's Mulder's sister." I never knew she was a Phile! Officially the coolest person ever.

Also a professor at my school (and anthropologist, not an entemologist) is named Bambi and indeed kind of looks like the other Dr. Bambi!

Mannn I miss XF so much, I can't wait until I have time to watch it again!

My BF bought sunflower seeds and of course that remimnded me of Mulder. I bought skittles and that reminded me of Mark (Gillian's BF) couse I know he likes them.
