Today i will add City of Delusion as a favorite.

there are videos on youtube where matt (<-- i wrote 'map' first) sort of goes into falsetto during the "i will avenge" part. it's amazing, and i think he did it a lot when they played it live.

side note: i used to mess up like all the lyrics of their songs (don't even mention micro cuts, lol) and i thought he was saying "and riverrrrrr!" :!:

video in question:

I've become inspired to learn how to play bass.

that would be awesome- go for it!

i like to fancy myself a pianist, but i'm actually not that good nor am i practiced since i quit lessons eight years ago. but i can play exogenesis part 3 (one of the highlights of 2010 for me was learning it), most of sunburn, and the first parts of space dementia and new born. actually all i do is try to play muse piano songs. :D and through much weeping and gnashing of teeth i learned the plug-in baby intro on (acoustic) guitar. and i can sort of play a choppy acoustic version of map of the problematique.

but i really, REALLY would love to learn to play the drums.

They're in Argentina and Brazil. Oh how I wish they were coming back to the States!

They're headlining in Reading and Leeds late this August. Matt tweeted saying they're probably going to play Origin of Symmetry in its entirety to celebrate the 10 year anniversary. And that this will probably be the last time many of the songs from that era will be played. They're even apparently constructing a stage with the OoS pitchfork thingies.

I am so sad that I live in America right now. That's my favorite album of all time. I'm trying to see if I can go to Lollapalooza, in which they're also gonna be performing, in Chicago in early August (see if I can't wheedle my parents into sending me as a 21st birthday present. They asked if I wanted to do anything special).

It stands to reason that they can use Chicago as warm-up for the other two festivals, right? Chris did say in an interview that they're done touring The Resistance, so there's that. I would die if I could hear some of the songs from Origin of Symmetry.

Okay, Muse fans... I've got a question for you. Is there a song where at some point, the music somewhat fades out and then a woman's voice comes in and starts reading off a sequence of numbers? If so, what song is it?

Or, am I outta my mind?

Not that I know of. The only thing I can think of is Ruled by Secrecy live, but all that is is a display counting down. Which isn't really relevant to this.

Can you think of anything else to do with the song?

Thanks, MA. No, I can't. It was just a snippet that I had heard during a lecture a few months back. I may be remembering the whole thing wrong anyways. Rats.

New album. Love the name and everything to do with it.

But the dubstep... I am unsure. Part of me hopes that it ends where the preview ends and then it's back to business.

Thoughts?

edit: the more I listen to it, really the only dubsteppy thing is the robot. Other than that (as I've read on the muse mesageboard) it's just Matt on his guitar, making his usual weird noises.

I am somewhat more excited (a lot more excited).

Thank you, MA for posting this!!!

I watched it yesterday after you posted it. I didn't have time to comment. I'm QUITE excited for the new album. I was echoing your concern in your earlier post; however, I didn't know what you meant by dubstep... my reaction was... I like everything but the robot.

I'm happy that you're more excited now after doing a bit more research!! :sun

I've been replaying Black Holes and Revelations in these days. I find it strangely suitable for spring and this is my favourite album by Muse. I love everything about it. :P
