Most Boring Episode?

Postby SpecialAgent88 » July 19th, 2011, 8:53 am

Okay I would like to know what you think is the most boring X Files episode? I just have one rule your choice can't be Space.

I think one of the most boring episodes is Travelers, I just never enjoyed it and the reason I usually end up skipping the episode.

Milagro - Agent Scully falls in love but that's obviously impossible. Agent Scully is already in love.

Haha funny topic!
Why can't it be Space?
I thought it was a pretty nice episode to watch..

From what I have seen till now, the most boring one, I don't know the name of the episode, I think it was S4 or 5 maybe, the one with the youth-years of cancerman, and where Kennedy is shot, I thought it didn't have M&S in it at all or something, I skipped parts of it that was so f***ng BORING!! You're thinking of Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man, Dianne.

Outside of Space, I'd say the most boring episode has to be Unrequited. There have been worse episodes, but they all bombed so spectacularly that I can't quite call them boring, although The Field Where I Died is a close runner up. But in that case anger outstrips boredom.

I think what saved Musings for me was that question so many of us in the US will always have - Who was behind Kennedy's assassination... Otherwise you're right, it was dry as dust.

The Field ... was the most annoying episode for me, I even got the giggles thru it at one point. During reruns it became my Time for Laundry episode. The actress was good, the premise just failed.

But Space for me takes the Boring Cake. Brutally, painfully boring. So boring I could have bored a hole thru old fabric trying to remove fabric pills.... In fact I could have created a small spacecraft with the fabric pills. When I read that this was an enormously expensive episode to produce all I could think was, what a colossal waste.

Oh yeah! Definitely Musings of CSM! LOL. I couldn't remember the name of it either, just that it was some boring documentary!

Musings of CSM for sure! Bored the pants off me.

Audrey Pauley and Lord of the flies aswell. Alot of the episodes in season nine where either really boring, or made me angry!

Ok, please don't shoot me, but another episode that puts me to sleep is "Jose Chung's From Outer Space". I know lots of fans love this episode, but I've tried to watch and like it and it's just not happening.

I agree Killa - the first couple of times I watched Drive and kept fidgeting. Krump (?) just seemed like this annoying bigot. Then I realized who the actor was (from "Breaking Bad") - and paid more attention to the coverup up angle which Scully discovered that was causing the medical condition - combined, those elements made me follow the ep with more interest, less fidgets.

I agree with quite a few of you: Musings of a CSM... and also Zero Sum.

I actually find 3 pretty boring too because there is no Scully at all. :(

You guys have this one covered, but I agree The Field Where I Died was a snore. Space was up there as well...I kinda forgot most of it. Pretty forgetful. I am surprised more people didn't say 3. Aside from Mulder getting action, it was darkly dull.
